Michele Del Guercio's specialty has been in creating candid medical imagery—photographing the use of the latest medical technology, capturing images of surgical and non-surgical procedures, following the trials of patients and documenting them over time.
Since becoming a mother, she has also become focused on human development, and the experiences of children. Her child photographs are both sensitive and poignant. The collection of children images has grown substantially over the past few years.
Michelle del Guercio has been documentary photographer for over a decade. She has taken her passion to reveal life through photography, and created a body of work—everyday experiences, life altering challenges, growth and development, birth and death, and offers these medical photographs and colorful images of children for limited use, in a rights-managed format.
She has taken her ablility to consider life through the lens of a camera, and gives us the opportunity to realize what it is to be a healthcare professional, a patient, a child, a teacher, a parent, a caregiver. Situations with which we are all familiar, yet cannot easily capture in the moment. |
